YOGA PHILOSOPHY OR QUOTE THAT YOU LIVE BY: Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connected. -Chief Seattle
FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING YOGA: The ability to weave together physical, emotional, and spiritual healing into a single practice. Each time we step on the mat, we have an opportunity to grow, to shift old ways of thinking, new ways of being, and new avenues of connecting to ourselves, our community, and the world around us.
SONG THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO PRACTICE: So many! Gajumaru by Yaima, I am Light by India.Arie, Hold On by Highwomen, anything Labrinth, Stronger by Thunderstorm Artis, Crowned by Cautious Clay, the list goes on!
WHAT DOES YOUR IDEAL DAY OFF LOOK LIKE? Adventurous day exploring the beautiful scenery of the PNW (hiking, biking, snowboarding, etc.) with my husband and pups, OR a comfy cozy day in by the fire with some good snacks and a great movie.
DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHING STYLE: Holistic, intuitive, and versatile. I find joy in teaching a diverse range of yoga formats, spanning from restorative and meditation to invigorating hot power classes and more. Infusing emotional well-being into my classes, I bring a rich background in mental health to the practice. Originally rooted in the physical aspects of yoga, (asana), I hold a deep respect for alignment and safety across all classes. My approach is inclusive, considering the complete well-being of each individual. In my classes, I purposefully create opportunities for grounding, and exploration of joy and play, and always prioritize safety and a trauma-informed perspective.
