Dive Deep! The training consists of 6 inspiring immersions to level up your teaching and your personal practice. These 6 weekends are spread across 12 months, with one happening about every other month. Each immersion contains 25 hours of in-person learning and 10 combined hours of pre-study + post-reflection.
-
We are here for you! Throughout the year-long training, you will receive 18 hours of 1-on-1 mentorship to further facilitate your journey and guide you on whatever path you seek. Your mentor will debrief each immersion, helping you embody the lessons as a practitioner and/or as a teacher; assist in the creative and logistical planning of your experiential teaching requirement; support the creation and continuation of your Sadhana practice; and be a valuable guide in your capstone project.
-
Stretch yourself! Teaching to different populations in unfamiliar settings expands us. A requirement to graduate from this program is to teach 3 classes beyond your usual. This can be anything from a private lesson to a large-scale event, a new style of yoga to a new group of yogis or a day-long retreat to a gathering of friends. This can be volunteer or paid. You will be responsible for creating the entire experience from targeting who you want to teach to contacting the appropriate people to securing the location to communicating the details with the participants and, of course, teaching the class!
-
Commit! Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice and a threadline throughout this entire training. For 5 minutes a day, be intentional with your time. This can be a meditation, reading, journaling, movement or anything that helps you quiet the outside world and connect to your inner voice. Let it be the same each day. Your commitment to a personal practice is essential to your growth as a human and your path as a teacher.
-
Putting it all together! Fueled by the learning derived from the immersions, the lessons gained from the experiential teaching, the insights discovered from your sadhana practice and the guidance of mentorship, each trainee will teach a final offering in the form of either a 90 minute master class or a 3 hour workshop.
