YOGA PHILOSOPHY OR QUOTE THAT YOU LIVE BY: It’s your mat, your movement.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING YOGA: I teach yoga to find connection. When a room full of people all breathe at the same time, doing the same movements, in time with one another, we create an energy larger than the sum of us as individuals. It’s a great privilege as a teacher to get to facilitate that.
SONG THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO PRACTICE: Hunter by Björk. I’m dramatic, ok??
WHAT DOES YOUR IDEAL DAY OFF LOOK LIKE? I wake up bright and early and have coffee with the love of my life: my cat, Vanity. I go on a long run in Forest Park with a friend. It is 80 degrees and sunny. I spend the day enjoying my neighborhood on the east side. I eat a stupid amount of dairy and carbohydrates. I put on a silly outfit and go dancing with my friends till the bars close and our feet bleed. I crawl into bed with a smile.
DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHING STYLE: One breath, one movement. Connect the body and the mind. Balance effort and ease. My classes are always educational, physical, creative, fun! I arm my students with the tools of the practice so they feel brave to try new things and develop their practice.
